So, at the cusp of a new dawn of Roller Derby for Nottingham, we have the joyous task of both naming the team and naming ourselves. I have been rattling around some potential names for the Nottingham Roller Girls and i would love some feedback – and if you have thought of any others which you think would be great, let me know!
(By the way, sometimes i write just like i think, so please try and ingnore the ramblings if you can

- Notts Moxie Molls (Gangster, get it?)
- Notts Hoodlum Hotties (Like Robin Hood.)
- Notts you out (play on words, get it?….Knock you out?……No? …..ok)
- Notts Night Rollers (like Knight Rider? No?)
- Notts Femme Fatales
- Nottingham Steel Wheels (double meaning – steel wheels of roller skates and steal your wheels -as in off your car- Nottingham is famous for:)
- Notts Lacing Ladies (yeah, not great, but something to do with nottingham Lace, alliteration? No? ok.)

the curs of costner means a robinhood theme is compulsory. as are the green hats lol.
I kinda like Notts You Out, but it sounds more like a player name than a team name.
And as much as there is the robin hood connection its a cliche thats been done to death I do think Hoodlum Hotties is kinda good.
Something I did just spot though – Nottingham Roller Girls – N.R.G. – ‘Energy’
There could be a thing with that
– Atomic Notts Roller Girls? Atomic NRG? (haveto admit Atomic Notts for short has a ring to it)
– Nuclear NRG?
– Boundless NRG?

I am not sure about the whole robin hood connection – i know it is kind of the main thing about Nottingham, but i just think a name based on in needs to be good so it doesn’t sound too twatty, but yes Hoodlum Hotties i am quite keen on
but then Mayhem Maidens isn’t bad, or Iron Maidens……..?
and i do agree with ‘Notts you out’ sounding a bit too team namey.
